Lyra & Hymn

The troubadour Soheil Nafissi is fond of persian poetry and here like his first release, he reinterprets contemporary Persian poetries. The recording of this album has been made far from the city-struck and in the peaceful atmosphere of his home out of Tehran. Memorable poems of Ahmad Shamlou, SohrabSepehri, Mehdi Akhavan Saless, Fereydoun Moshiri, Nima Youshij, Bahman Forssi and Ibrahim Monssefi are blending Soheil’s works. The multi-instrumentalist Peter Soleimanipour appears as guest artist in some pieces playing the Sax, Clarinet, Double Bass and Guitar.
